Ed sets the firm’s long-term vision and leads its strategic direction. His highest priorities are building a strong, performance-driven culture and attracting exceptional talent to support Intrepid’s continued growth. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Ed remains deeply involved in originating and leading merger and acquisition transactions for clients.
Over more than three decades in investment banking, Ed has advised entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, and financial sponsors on transformative transactions across a broad range of industries, including consumer, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, industrials, and business services. His career is defined by hands-on deal leadership, long-standing client relationships, and a sustained focus on helping founders achieve meaningful liquidity outcomes.
Prior to co‑founding Intrepid, Ed was a Principal Partner at Barrington Associates, where he played a key role in building the firm into one of the most respected middle‑market M&A advisory platforms in the United States. In 2006, Barrington was acquired by Wells Fargo Securities to serve as the bank’s dedicated M&A advisory arm. Earlier in his career, Ed served as a Vice President at First Global Securities, a regional investment banking firm.
Under Ed’s leadership, Intrepid continues to expand its industry coverage and capital markets capabilities while maintaining a highly client-centric, senior-led advisory model. His contributions to the Los Angeles business community have been widely recognized, including repeated inclusion on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s LA500 list of the city’s most influential business leaders.
Outside of Intrepid, Ed is an avid audiophile with musical interests spanning classical to metal. He enjoys barefoot running and traveling, with a particular passion for discovering new places and experiencing local cultures.
