Gavin Daniels

Gavin is a Managing Director on Intrepid’s consumer team, focusing on the Food, Beverage, and Agriculture industry.  Gavin has over 12 years of investment banking experience, primarily focused on middle market mergers and acquisitions in the broader consumer space.  He has transaction experience in many food and beverage subverticals, including frozen food, confections, bakery, snack food, proteins, contract manufacturing, and wine.  Additional consumer industry transaction experience includes restaurants, omnichannel retail, pet products, home decor, furniture, and consumer services.

Approximately half of Gavin’s clients during his career have been private equity firms, with the remainder being private and public companies.  Prior to joining Intrepid in 2023, Gavin spent nearly three years at Cowen (now TD Cowen) after his previous firm, MHT Partners, was sold to Cowen in 2020.  Prior to investment banking, Gavin spent nearly five years at The Clorox Company in several finance and corporate development capacities.  He began his career at boutique strategy consulting firm PFC Energy (now part of IHS Markit), advising the world’s largest energy companies on gas and power growth strategies.  Gavin earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a BBA from The George Washington University.

Gavin grew up in rural Vermont, where he spent his time skiing, camping, fishing, and wondering what it would be like to have cable TV.  Since moving to the Bay Area in his mid-20’s, Gavin has figured out how to balance a career in finance and his growing list of outdoor pursuits, all of which are accessible within a few hours drive.  He currently resides outside of San Francisco with his wife and two active children.
