Stuart Jones
Vice President
Stuart is a Vice President on Intrepid’s Food, Beverage & Agriculture team. Stuart has over 8 years of investment banking experience, primarily focused on middle-market mergers and acquisitions in the broader consumer space. He has transaction experience in many food and beverage subverticals, including snacks, contract manufacturing, ethnic foods, and nutritional supplements. Additional consumer industry transaction experience includes consumer services, lifestyle products, consumer electronics, and sporting goods.
Prior to joining Intrepid, Stuart served over a decade with the Navy SEAL Teams. His last position on active duty was as Chief of Staff for the Naval Special Warfare Innovation Directorate, where he partnered with defense technology companies and other government organizations to assess the employment of commercially available technologies to support special operations missions. He also served as a platoon commander in Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve and completed sensitive operations for task forces across Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining the SEAL Teams, he advised middle-market clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions at Barrington Associates and Wells Fargo Securities. Stuart earned a BS from Stanford University.
Stuart continues to serve as a Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserve and is active with the local veteran community. He currently resides with his wife and two children in Los Angeles. Outside of the office, he enjoys staying active by weightlifting, swimming, diving, hiking, and skydiving.
