Intrepid Investment Bankers, a leading middle-market investment bank and the advisory arm of MUFG, a global financial group, announced that it acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Tangram Interiors (“Tangram” ) in connection with the Company’s management-led buyout and leadership transition. This adds another successful transaction to Intrepid’s distinguished track record in the commercial furnishings space.
Tangram: A Best-In-Class Commercial Interiors Solutions Provider
Headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, California, with operations across Southern California, the Central Valley, and Dallas–Fort Worth, Tangram is a premier Steelcase dealer offering contract furniture, architectural solutions, audiovisual and technology integration, custom furniture fabrication, and ongoing facility services. Since its acquisition by Joe and Sonya Lozowski in 2002, Tangram has grown into one of the nation’s largest commercial interiors firms and a leading Steelcase dealer, serving a diverse customer base across a broad range of end markets.
Tangram is recognized for its design leadership, innovation, and commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience. Tangram believes beautifully designed spaces are not a luxury, but a means of creating environments where people can do their best work and reach their full potential.
The Next Chapter
Nick Meter, Tangram’s President, has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Joe Lozowski, who led the Company as Chief Executive Officer for 25 years. Meter led a management buyout, acquiring a significant stake in Tangram from the Lozowski family, which retains a minority interest. Lozowski will serve as an executive advisor during the transition, and members of the Lozowski family remain actively involved in the business.
“This is a continuation, not a change in direction,” said Nick Meter. “Joe built a company defined by craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and genuine care for the people we serve. As owners as well as operators, we are more invested than ever in delivering exceptional environments for our clients and creating opportunity for our team.”
From the Client
“Intrepid was a trusted advisor throughout the transaction,” said Joe Lozowski. “Their team provided thoughtful guidance and demonstrated a clear understanding of our business and culture. We appreciate their partnership and support in helping us complete a transaction that positions Tangram for continued success.”
Intrepid’s Role in Facilitating Tangram’s Ownership and Leadership Transition
“This transaction marks an exciting new chapter for Tangram and positions the Company for continued growth and innovation under its next generation of leadership,” said Gary Rabishaw, Managing Director and Head of Commercial & Consumer Technology at Intrepid. “We are proud to have advised the Lozowski family and Tangram’s management team through this ownership and leadership transition.”
