“Bridging Japanese and U.S. Markets to Build Long Term Strategic Value”

Yasuhiro Fujita is a Managing Director at Intrepid Investment Bankers, where he leads the firm’s Japan coverage, advising on M&A transactions involving Japanese and U.S. companies, with a focus on cross-border transactions where a deep understanding of both markets is critical.

Yasuhiro brings more than two decades of M&A advisory experience, having originated and executed cross-border transactions for Japanese corporations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Prior to joining Intrepid, he spent over 20 years with MUFG’s M&A advisory team, holding senior roles in corporate advisory. After relocating to New York, he worked closely with Intrepid as part of the Corporate Advisory Office, the MUFG unit that assists the bank’s Japanese clients with their M&A needs in the United States. Through that collaboration, he developed a strong conviction that combining Intrepid’s expertise and execution capabilities with MUFG’s relationships would provide Japanese clients with truly differentiated M&A advisory services in the U.S. middle market.

Yasuhiro has built deep, long-standing relationships with Japanese corporates and developed a strong understanding of Japanese business culture, decision-making processes, and the roles and expectations of key stakeholders. With this background, he helps clients navigate complex cross-border transactions with U.S. counterparties while providing Intrepid’s U.S. clients with unique access to Japanese strategic and institutional investors.

Yasuhiro enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures. In the United States, he is particularly passionate about visiting national parks and experiencing the country’s diverse landscapes whenever possible.
