J.B. leads the firm’s Restaurant & Franchise Concepts M&A practice.  His background encompasses more than two decades of M&A, operations, and private equity experience with an expertise in branded and franchised concepts.

J.B. has structured and completed more than 50 transactions in this segment and works across the entrepreneurial to institutional spectrum.  His experience includes representing company-owned brands, franchisors, and franchisees in the retail and restaurants, health and wellness, grocery, automotive, and related segments.

Prior to joining Intrepid, J.B. was a Principal at The Cypress Group, a boutique M&A firm specialized in M&A and capital advisory for restaurant and franchise systems. Prior to The Cypress Group, J.B. was the Vice President of Franchise Development & Operations at Noodles & Company.  In this role, J.B. built and led a franchise business segment to achieve industry-leading growth and operational performance, while also assisting the company in its IPO in an Investor Relations capacity.

In his early career, J.B. was an Associate at Heritage Partners, a private equity firm with approximately $2.0 billion in capital under management and an Analyst with CIBC World Markets in their Leverage Finance and Financial Sponsors Coverage Group.  In these advisory and investment roles, J.B. worked to arrange or invest debt and equity financing for public and private companies.

In his free time, J.B. enjoys spending time with his two teenage daughters, cooking, fly-fishing, and international travel.
