Intrepid announced today that Rick Chance, Managing Director and Head of Strategic Relationships has been promoted to serve as Chief Operating Officer. Rick brings more than 25 years of senior leadership and investment banking experience with a track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives that support high-performance professional services teams on a national scale.
“The creation of this new role is a major step in our strategic plan to accelerate the growth of our M&A and capital advisory services. Since we became a member of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group in 2019, we doubled the volume of transactions closed annually and have plans to scale our platform to become one of the top three advisors to middle market companies in all our key practice areas. The addition of Rick Chance as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer to our executive leadership team will allow us to adopt key processes for managing and supporting our rapidly growing team and will enable me to focus on key strategic areas such as delivering world class client experience, recruiting industry leading talent, and maintaining Intrepid’s unique culture. Since he joined Intrepid, Rick drove exceptional results as Head of Strategic Relationships. Now he will bring the same focus and discipline to his new role to support me accelerate our growth. His new role is timely, as we recently announced key senior banker hires and opening of offices in New York, Charlotte and Chicago,” said Ed Bagdasarian, Chief Executive Officer of Intrepid.

Rick brings extensive experience in investment banking, business development, operations and management from a career that includes serving as Head of Strategic Relationships at Intrepid, and Head of Special Situations and Managing Director, Consumer Leisure & Wellness at KPMG Corporate Finance. Prior to KPMG, Rick served as Managing Director at BDO Capital Advisors. He holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
