Intrepid congratulates Lauren Antion for being named the “NextGen Woman of the Year” by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) at the 2022 Women’s Leadership Symposium & Awards. Lauren was previously named to the list of “Top Women in Banking” by LABJ in February 2020 and “Women of Influence in Banking” by LABJ in both February 2021 and February 2022. We thank Lauren for her great contributions in executing several leading transactions in the Beauty & Personal Care sector and helping build our industry-leading M&A advisory practice.
During her seven-year tenure at Intrepid, she has held significant roles on several beauty and personal care transactions – including three high-profile transactions completed year-to-date. In addition, Lauren successfully executed the recapitalization and growth financing of professional skin care brand Obagi Cosmeceuticals with The TCW Group; the sale of prestige lash and color cosmetics brand Lilly Lashes to Gauge Capital; the sale of leading hair care platform JD Beauty to ACON Investments, the owners of the leading hair styling tools and accessories brand Goody Products; the investment by Kainos Capital in prestige skin care brand Beauty Biosciences; the sale of direct-to-consumer deodorant brand Native to Procter & Gamble; the sale of iconic hair styling brand Salon Grafix to High Ridge Brands; the sale of JD Beauty and its flagship brand ‘The Wet Brush’ to Topspin Partners; and the sale of the topical analgesics brand Zim’s MAX Freeze to Kobayashi Pharmaceutical; among other successes.
In addition to executing and originating mergers and acquisitions and capital advisory mandates across the Beauty & Personal Care sector, Lauren is actively involved in the firm’s recruiting program and community outreach efforts.
