Intrepid today announced that it served as the exclusive financial advisor to Sonance, the parent company of Sonance, iPort, and TRUFIG, on its pending acquisition of James Loudspeaker (James), an industry leader in both high-performance residential and commercial speaker solutions for homes, forward-thinking businesses, and upscale marine applications. Based in San Clemente, Calif., Sonance is an award-winning innovator in aesthetically-based home audio technology solutions.
“Sonance’s acquisition of James will bolster our position in the high-end audio market and offers another way for us to bring cutting-edge discreet audio solutions to our customers. At Sonance, we believe in designing products to disappear into architecture, forging authentic partnerships with our customers, and continuing a long heritage of innovation. The acquisition of James enhances all three of these principles and just made sense to us. This is an exciting time for Sonance as we take the next step in our evolution with James as our partner!” commented Ari Supran, CEO of Sonance.
“Sonance has achieved robust growth over the years, solidifying its reputation as a market leader in the custom installation industry. The acquisition of James positions Sonance to accelerate growth and continue its leadership in innovation and discreet audio. It is particularly fulfilling to be a part of yet another game-changing transaction in the CEDIA market,” said Gary Rabishaw, Managing Director and Head of the Commercial & Consumer Technology practice at Intrepid. “Congratulations to the teams at Sonance and James for creating a truly differentiated market leader.”
