Our Story

Founders

Intrepid’s principals have a long history of collaboration, dating back to 1985. They began their journey with Barrington Associates, which grew to prominence before being acquired by Wells Fargo Securities in 2006. In 2010, seven partners from Barrington came together to establish Intrepid Investment Bankers, a firm dedicated to serving the unique needs of middle-market clients. In 2019, Intrepid was acquired by MUFG, further enhancing its capabilities as the bank’s dedicated middle-market investment banking arm.

Intrepid is based in Los Angeles, with offices in San Francisco, Chicago, Charlotte, and New York. As a member of MUFG our bankers have access to the extensive global footprint of one of the largest financial institutions in the world.
