Intrepid Investment Bankers has a unique opportunity that has a strategically important role in the firm’s growth plans and provides substantial career and earning potential.  Intrepid is a member of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (NYSE: MUFG), the 5th largest financial group in the world.

Intrepid provides M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory services to entrepreneurs and middle-market companies through dedicated banking teams with deep industry sector experience. The firm is based in Los Angeles, with additional offices in Menlo Park, New York, Chicago, and Charlotte.

We are seeking to add a highly talented individual to our business development coverage team in Los Angeles, CA to collaborate with our senior investment bankers in various industry and product groups. This is a high-profile revenue generating position with significant career advancement and financial upside. The individual will serve as key point of contact for Intrepid with a few, strategically important referral channels, managing and developing cross-referral opportunities between these channels and Intrepid.


  • Work closely with our primary bulge bracket institutional referral channel partner to educate their private wealth management advisors on the capabilities of the firm and develop an active referral flow as well as responding to incoming referral opportunities from such partner
  • Help develop other third-party referral sources and centers of influence (COI) to source and evaluate investment banking prospects through phone, email, and in-person efforts
  • Collaborate with senior investment bankers and our marketing team to execute various marketing initiatives, such as producing and organizing webinars, newsletters, thought leadership, social media opportunities, and networking events
  • Coordinate and attend pitch meetings with the deal teams for qualified referrals originating from this strategically important referral network


  • 5+ years proven work experience in business development capacity (preferably in financial services industry) with track record of interfacing with C-Suite executives.
  • Deep knowledge and thorough understanding of Intrepid’s advisory services and ability to have preliminary meetings with prospects to engage in substantive discussions to assess the opportunity
  • Ability to engage with prospects, develop relationships, and work seamlessly as a bridge for introducing senior investment bankers into these relationships
  • Typically requires a 4-year degree
  • Proven ability to nurture relationships and develop them into productive engagements
  • Process oriented, disciplined, and experienced in using Salesforce CRM to report on lead development and prospecting activity
  • Understanding of M&A, private equity and investment banking
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proactive, results oriented, can-do attitude, team player
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to work comfortably in an unstructured environment
  • Flexible remote work structure with some travel required
  • Series 79 and series 63 licenses are required to be obtained upon hire.
