Mr. Zucker joins the firm from U.S. Capital Partners, rounding out more than a decade of capital markets experience with prior positions at Credit Suisse First Boston and FBR Capital Markets. “This is an exciting time for Intrepid as we’re actively engaged in the expansion of several of our practices,” said Ed Bagdasarian, CEO and Managing Director of Intrepid. “Helping middle-market companies gain access to debt and equity capital is core to our mission of providing high-impact advisory services to entrepreneurs and sponsors throughout the lifecycle of their companies.”

Mr. Zucker brings a wealth of experience in working with business owners, and valuable relationships with capital providers, including traditional and alternative lenders, family offices, hedge funds and institutional equity funds. “Jonathan will help us significantly expand our capital raising activity, bringing the same level of professionalism, market savvy and tenacity that Intrepid is known for in its M&A advisory group,” continued Mr. Bagdasarian.

“With lenders and institutional funds facing the pressure of unprecedented liquidity and a slow growing economy, we are in one of the best markets for businesses to access capital,” said Jonathan Zucker, Senior Vice President and Head of the Capital Markets Group at Intrepid. “My responsibility is to help our clients secure custom-tailored financing solutions by tapping into capital sources and structures that best address their needs. Mainstream capital providers typically serve only one segment of the market, as they target primarily larger, high-quality credits with low risk profiles. Our mission is to help a broader segment of the middle market by providing structuring expertise, positioning skills and access to a large universe of capital providers to those companies that cannot meet their financial needs through their existing lender.”

For more than 30 years, the principals of Intrepid have advised clients in capital transactions, leveraging their institutional investor relationships and expertise in managing competitive processes. Mr. Zucker’s primary responsibilities will include raising institutional debt and equity capital to support clients’ funding needs for growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations, working capital and debt refinancings.

Mr. Zucker graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.S. in Economics with a dual concentration in Finance and Management.
